A Superb Victorian oil on canvas by sought after Yorkshire born artist William Mellor( 1851 -1931.) 'Thornton Gill, Ingleton', signed to the bottom left by the artist and inscribed by the artist to th...e rear. Superb detail and quality of painting to this rarely painted subject, with good bright late summer colours. No damage or repairs. Sat in a quality swept timber gilt frame. Measures overall 23" wide x 17" high x 2.5" deep. Painting measures 17.5". x 11.5".
