A fine quality William IV period rosewood double fusee bracket clock with decorative painted dial c.1830. Figured timber case with pagoda style top, carved leaf design trim to the front edge. Canted corners to the front four column pilasters. Sound frets to the sides with silk behind and a glazed door with shaped top to the view window. The original painted dial with oriental style decoration and Roman numerals, bears the makers name Le Platrier, Chancery Lane, London. Double fusee movement accessed behind a glazed door to the rear, platform escapement and gong striking to the hour. Apron foot... with small bun feet below. Fully overhauled and working movement, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 17.5" high x 13.5" wide x 7.5" deep. Stock number 38349.
