William IV Open Arm Chair
A superb quality William IV mahogany framed open arm chair with carved decoration; newly upholstered in soft green damask fabric c.1835. High back with crisply carved acanthus leaf design decoration to the show frame and deep buttoned upholstery to the centre. Scrolled over open arms with upholstered arm supports and matching sprung seat base. Swept supports to the arms running into the polished mahogany seat frame. Turned and carved front legs with splayed legs to the rear, plus original brass and porcelain castors. Fully reupholstered to a high standard in quality soft green and... gold damask fabric; very comfortable and useable. Measures 26" wide x 27" deep x 41" high to top of chair back x 18" seat height.
