A fine quality silver photo frame with embossed hinged cover by highly regarded maker William Comyns, hallmarked London 1899. Bevelled edge photograph window surround with unusual hinged silver cover embossed with a fine quality scene depicting a musician serenading to girls sat in a woodland setting. The cover opening with a small knob to reveal the photograph. Original worn blue velvet back with easel stand. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded silversmith William Comyns. Presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Takes photo 6" x 4" Measures over all 5.5" wide x 7....25" high x 0.75" deep. Stock number 38379.
