William and Mary Period Walnut Oak Side Table
A superb William & Mary period oak single drawer side table C1700. Moulded edge to the planked and pegged overlapped top sat over a single drawer base with turned legs supported by scratch carved moulded top rails, repeated on all sides. Stretcher to the base with original turned feet. Brass drop fittings to the drawer. Superb colour and original patina, shallow proportions. Provenance includes appraisal by the V & A museum in 1958. Measures 32" long x 18" deep x 30" high. Stock number 35473.
