Victorian Walnut Pendant Banjo Barometer
A Victorian walnut cased pendant banjo barometer, fully serviced and working c.1890. Turned and carved surround to the movement with half turnings either side of the thermometer sat above the ...dial and crescent shaped pediment to the top with original turned finials. Porcelain enamel dial including weather predictions with skeltonised aneroid movement set to the centre. The dial sat behind bevelled edge glass with central reading marker, mounted in a polished brass bezel. Porcelain thermometer scale set above the dial with mercury action thermometer. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, fully serviced and working. Measures 18" long x 7.75" wide x 2" deep. Stock number 41119.
