Victorian Walnut Pedestal Desk
A top quality late Victorian figured walnut pedestal in George I style with original leather and brass fittings c.1890. Original brown leather writing surface with banded and moulded polished walnut surround. Three drawers sat below each with figured walnut veneers, crossbanding and moulded outer edges. Three graduated drawers to each pedestal with moulded plinth to the base of each, original ogee bracket feet below. Decorative carved apron to the top of the knee hole, figured walnut veneers to the sides and the back of the desk allowing free standing. Presented in superb origina...l condition with a rich colour and original patina plus original brass fittings. Measures 48" wide x 22" deep x 30" high. Knee hole measures 17" wide x 23" high.
