Victorian Walnut Night Stand
A mid Victorian walnut night stand or commode with ormolu fittings and parquetry panels to the sides c.1875. Kidney shaped form with light brown veined marble top, with ormolu gallery and trim to the edge. Two drawers to the front with parquetry panels and chequered stringing. Original ormolu ring drop handles and complementing lock escutcheons with working locks and key. Ormolu mounts to the top of each side column, which continue down to form sabre legs. The sides and rear of the stand with parquetry panels and sabre legs to match the front; allowing the piece to be free standing. Pr...esented in excellent condition but with hairline crack to the marble surface. Ideal as a lamp table or bedside table. Measures 24" wide x 16" deep x 29.5" high. Stock number 41054.
