A top quality and very comfortable Victorian two seater sofa with carved walnut foot, fully reupholstered to a high standard in Abraham Moon pure wool fabric c.1885. The substantial frame with doub...le arched top to the high back, rolled over arms and sprung seat with loose feather filled seat cushions. The upholstery with horse hair filling and sprung back, recovered to a high standard in Abraham Moon pure wool 'Melton, earth-pebble' fabric, with piped edges and reversible feather seat cushions. The foot carved in solid walnut, with shell decoration to the legs, decorative stretchers sat in between forming an apron and matching stretchers to the sides. Splayed legs to the rear, original brass castors. Very comfortable and useable, presented in immaculate newly upholstered condition. Measures 58" wide x 30" deep x 47.5" high to top of chair back x 20" seat height. Stock number CS215.
