Victorian Turned Walnut Barometer by A Franks of Manchester
A Victorian turned polished walnut cased aneroid barometer by A Franks of Manchester, fully restored and working c.1890. The deep ring turned solid walnut case with hanging plate to the rear. Engraved silvered dial with weather predictions to the outer edge and bearing the maker's name A Franks, Optician, Manchester. The dial sat behind a bevel edge glass, set in a polished cast brass bezel with central reading marker. Presented in immaculate condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 12.5" diameter x 8" dial x 2.5" deep. Stock number 40181.
