A quality Victorian polished black slate and specimen marble desktop thermometer C.1880. Stepped black slate base supporting the arched top black slate upright inlaid with a colourful band of specime...n marbles. Bone scale to the original mercury action thermometer set to the centre. Good condition with a couple of minor snips to the base. Thermometer in full working order. Measures 3.75" wide x 2.5" deep x 8" high. Stock number 35995.
