A top quality Victorian silver topped ink well in the form of a paperweight by William Comyns. Hinged domed silver top with matching collar folding over onto the cut glass base. Star cut base with ground finish. Hallmark for Birmingham 1898. Measures 3.5" wide x 2.5" high.
