Victorian Silver and Tortoise Shell Matchbox Cover
A small Victorian silver and inlaid tortoise shell match box cover, hallmarked Birmingham 1896. Thick tortoise shell top inlaid with silver sat on a silver base with open sides for pushing open the match box and accesing the striker. Solid silver base. Immaculate unused condition with a deep shine, includes period matchbox and matches. Measures 1.75" long x 1.2" wide x 0.6" high. Stock number 34418.
