Victorian Silver and Gold Inlaid Tortoise Shell Cigar Case
A superb Victorian gold and silver inlaid tortoise shell cigar case with original silk lined interior. C.1880. Dome shaped casework to both sides with decorative engraved silver to easch end joined with decorative swags of gold and silver, small dots of mother of pearl to each end. Silver plated frame forming an opening clasp. Concertina sides opening out to accommodate larger cigars. Opens to reveal an original blue watermarked silk interior. Good original condition. Measures 6" long x 3" wide x 0.75" deep. Stock number 33666.
