Victorian Rosewood Mother of Pearl Inlaid Barometer
A fine quality Victorian rosewood banjo barometer with decorative mother of pearl inlay and engraved silvered scales C.1875. The shaped case with well figured rosewood finish and decorative mother of pearl inlaid floral band to the edges of the case. Engraved silvered scale with remote action marker sat behind a convex glass set in a polished brass bezel. Matching scale to the thermometer with original mercury action thermometer. Mercury action movement fully working and overhauled. Superb quality and condition with a deep shine and original patina. Measures 37.5" long x 10" maximum widt...h x 1.5" maximum depth. 8" dial diameter. Stock number 35946.
