Victorian Polished Oak Starburst Banjo Barometer
A mid Victorian polished oak starburst surround banjo barometer c.1880. The carved solid figured oak case with starburst surround to the dial edge, rolled top forming a pediment with leaf design decoration below and matching decoration to the base. Porcelain dial with aneroid movement sat behind, glazed view window with central reading marker mounted in a polished brass bezel sat over the top. Matching thermometer scale above with original mercury action thermometer. Presented in excellent original condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 25" long x 7.5" wide x 2.75" deep. ...Stock number 39872.
