A collectable Victorian gilt brass pocket barometer with engraved silvered dial in the original case combining a bone scaled thermometer with working compass set in the lid c.1885. Dark red leather... cloth case with button release opening. The interior with bone scaled removable crescent shaped thermometer and working compass set to the centre. Removable gilt brass pocket sized barometer sat in the other side of the case with engraved silvered scale and reading marker adjusted by the engine turned bezel. Hanging loop to the top and original gilded finish to the case. Both instruments bearing the makers name Steward, London and in full working order. Presented in good original condition and full working order. Case measures 2.5" diameter x 1.5" deep. Barometer measures 2" diameter x 0.75" deep. Stock number 40912.
