Victorian Pendant Mahogany Barometer with Thermometer
An unusual Victorian pendant barometer with snail thermometer c.1885. The solid mahogany case with turned and carved surround to the barometer and turned pillars either side of the thermometer, arced section above. The visible skeletonised aneroid movement surrounded by a porcelain enamel dial sat behind bevel edge glass set in a polished brass bezel and centre reading marker. Original snail reservoir thermometer on white glass scale. Original polish to the case, full working order. Unusually large size measuring 33" high x 13" wide x 2" deep. Stock number 36383.
