Victorian Oval Four Glass Clock
A solid brass cased oval four glass clock with 8 day bell chiming movement, fully overhauled and working c.1890. Satin finished lacquered solid brass case with moulded edge to the top and matching ...foot. Brass framed centre section with doors to the front and rear for accessing the moment. The original bowed quarter plate glasses to the doors and the sides with bevelled edges. Porcelain dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands to the 8 day Paris made movement with anchor escapement and bell chiming to the hour and half hour. Presented in excellent condition with perfect glass and dial, fully overhauled and working. Measures 12" high x 8" wide x 6" deep. Stock number 38938.
