A fine quality Victorian signed oil on board depicting hens in a countryside setting, by collected Belgian artist Joseph Louis Van Leemputten 1840-1910. Superbly painted and detailed, typical ...of the artist with hens and a cockerel feeding early in the morning set against a countryside setting. Signed by the artist and dated 1866 to the bottom centre (masked partially by the frame). Presented in a quality timber gilt frame, the painting in superb condition with vibrant colours. Measures 19.5" wide x 2" deep x 15" high including frame. Stock number 41205.
