A quality slim proportioned late Victorian oak cased 8 day Grandmother clock with weight driven movement in superb original condition c.1900. The figured oak case with moulded cornice to the hood a...nd barley twist columns either side of the glazed hood door. A slim trunk with shaped top to the long moulded edge door and moulded plinth to the foot with original bracket feet below. Engraved brass dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, decorative centre with engraving of old Father Time. The weight driven 8 day movement with anchor escapement and bell striking on the hour, fully overhauled and working. Click here to view a video of this Grandmother clock. Presented in superb original condition with a rich polish and colour. Measures 65.5" high x 13.5" wide at the hood cornice x 9.5" maximum depth x 7" trunk width. Stock number 39143.
