Victorian Oak Rope Twist Ships Barometer
A quality Victorian oak cased rope twist design ships barometer with porcelain dial and crescent thermometer, fully serviced and working c.1885. The figured turned English oak case with carved rope twist design boarder and superb original patina. Porcelain dial with weather predictions and crescent thermometer set to the bottom half; aneroid movement set behind. Polished cast brass bezel with bevelled edge glass and central reading marker sat over the dial. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, fully serviced and working. Measures 11" diameter with an 8.5" dial... x 2.5" deep. Stock number 41084.
