A Victorian aneroid ships barometer with carved oak rope twist design border c.1885. The turned solid English oak case with carved rope twist design border sat around the dial. Porcelain dial with weather predictions including various letters in ornate script, the makers name A. Casartelli and address 54 Old Hall St Liverpool and sun burst deign to the centre; aneroid movement sat behind the dial. Polished brass bezel with glazed viewing window and reading marker knob to the centre. Fully serviced and working, presented in superb condition with a deep shi...ne. Measures 7.5" diameter overall with a 5" diameter dial x 2.5" deep. Stock number 41734.
