Victorian Oak Painted Country House Toy Box
An early Victorian oak country house box with painted decoration c.1850. Solid oak construction with hinged lid and beaded edge. Two original brass lock escutcheons to the front. The exterior later painted with superb detail depicting a Georgian town house. The lid opening to reveal a a clean interior with original hand forged strap hinges and steel locks. Presented in excellent condition with a rich polish. Measures 21" wide x 15" deep x 12" high. Stock number 37864.
