A charming Victorian figured oak country house table box with chamfered lid and later painted decoration resembling a Victorian country cottage c.1880. Chamfered edge hinged lid resembling a roof sat over a matching figured oak base, the sides painted with superb detail to depict a Victorian country cottage. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior, ideal for cutlery. Presented in superb original condition with a rich patina. Measures 10.5" wide x 6" deep x 4" high. Stock number 38812.
