A Victorian solid oak five drawer estate chest of drawers with lifting reading lectern to the top by highly regarded maker Gillow & Co, Lancaster. Moulded edge top with lifting surface supported on a ...ratchet adjustable upstand, removeable retaining strip to the front edge. Five graduated drawers with original original turned knobs. Moulded edge panelled sides and polished back, apron plinth foot. Stamped Gillow & Co below the surface. Superior quality and presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 20.5" wide x 14" deep x 40" high. Stock number 37097.
