A top quality Victorian solid golden oak ships barometer with rope twist design border to the outer edge and porcelain dial; fully serviced and working c.1885. The turned solid oak case with rope twist design border to the outer edge and brass hanging plate to the top. Porcelain dial with the makers name and address 'T. Mason, 5 Dame St, Dublin' and the weather predictions in ornate calligraphy with coloured first letters sat around the outer edge. Glazed view window with reading marker knob to the centre, the window set in a polished brass bezel. Presented in excellent condition ...with a deep shine, the movement fully overhauled and working. Measures 7.5" diameter x 5" dial x 2" deep. Stock number 41390.
