Victorian Oak Country House Dinner Gong
An impressive Victorian solid oak and horn with silver plated fittings country house dinner gong C.1890. The square foot solid oak foot with turned and moulded section above supporting the twin horns for holding the gong. Silver plated mounts to the horns and decorative unused presentation shield set to the front. Large engraved polished silver plated gong suspended from the horns and original striking hammer with leather head sat in a cradle to the front. Superb quality and condition with a deep shine and original patina. Measures 13.5" high x 9.5" wide. Base 6.5" square. Stock number 36670....
