A Victorian carved solid English oak aneroid banjo barometer with porcelain scales in superb original condition c.1890. The slim proportioned case with carved scroll and leaf design pediment t...o the top, floral carving to the centre and leaf design crest to the base. Porcelain dial sat over the fully serviced and working aneroid movement, quarter plate glass view window with central reading marker set in a polished brass bezel. Matching scale to the original mercury action thermometer sat above. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine and original patina to the case work, fully serviced and working. Measures 34" high x 10" maximum width x 2.5" maximum depth. Stock number 39885.
