Victorian Oak Cased Admiral Fitzroy Barometer
An late Victorian oak cased Admiral Fitzroy barometer with original chart in full working order c.1900. Simple solid oak case with overlapped top and base, the sides with moulded edges, good original polish and colour; hanging loop to the top and securing plates to the sides. Original hand tinted printed chart to the interior with mercury action stick barometer set to the centre, alcohol thermometer set to the side and storm tube set to the other side. Twin vernier markers with brass fittings to the sides of the case. Excellent original condition, fully se...rviced and working. Measures 8.5" wide x 2.5" deep x 37" high. Stock number 40579.
