A superior quality 8" dial late Victorian solid oak cased 8 day English dial clock in full working order c.1890. Figured timber moulded edge dial surround with matching back box, access doors to the b...ase and side. Polished brass bezel with glazed view window forming the door covering the original painted 8" dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Bears the makers name Stroud, 115 Ealing Road, Wembley. The high quality 8 day sprung driven movement with heavy plates and anchor escapement, fully serviced and working. Presented in superb original condition with a deep shine. 11" diameter x 6" deep. Stock number 38298.
