Victorian Oak and Silver Plated Tantalus
An unusual late Victorian oak and silver plated single bottle whiskey tantalus with the original cut crystal decanter c.1900. The oak frame with shaped sides and moulded plinth to the base, with working lock and key that when closed secures the decanter from being opened. Silver plated carry handle to the top and decorative silver plated bindings to the corners of the base. The original matching cut crystal decanter with hobnail design decoration and matching stopper in mint condition. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine and immaculate silver fittings along wit...h a perfect decanter. Measures 12.5" high (including handle) x 6.25" wide x 5" deep. Stock number 40246.
