Victorian Oak 3 Bottle Tantalus
A Victorian inlaid oak three bottle tantalus with silver plated fittings and original octagonal crystal decanters c.1890. The figured golden oak casework with decorative ebony and fruitwood diamond shaped inlay to the base front rail, plus shaped oak side panels. Silver plated locking bar above with carrying handle set to the centre; the working locking catch complete with key to the side. Matching silver plated mounts to the base of the frame. Three original unusual octagonal faceted crystal decanters with matching stoppers in mint condition sat to the interior; which can be released by fo...lding down the locking bar. Excellent quality and condition with a rich polish throughout and perfect crystal ware. Measures 13.25" wide x 5.25" deep x 12.25" high to top of handle. Stock number 41824.
