A mid Victorian antique solid oak rope twist barometer made by Mappin & Webb of London c.1880. Porcelain coloured lettering dial, bearing the maker's name, Mappin & Webb of Queen Victoria Street, Lon...don, E.C. Brass bezel surround with thick bevelled edge glass and centre reading marker pointer. Solid oak rope twist surround with brass hanger to the top. Full working order. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine to the case. Measures 7.5" diameter x 8" high with hanging loop x 2.5" deep. Stock no. 37617.
