Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Desk
A quality late Victorian mahogany pedestal desk with fruitwood stringing and leathered writing surface c.1885. Moulded mahogany surround to the tooled black leather top, three drawers below with fruitwood strung and cock beaded edges along with original brass ring fittings. Three matching graduated drawers to each pedestal with moulded edge apron plinth forming the foot, castors concealed below. Matching fruitwood strung panels to the sides and polished back to allow free standing. Presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and deep polish, very sturdy and useable (separates into t...hree pieces for moving). Measures 54" wide x 30" deep x 29.5" high. Generous kneehole measures 24.5" high x 23" wide . Stock number 40661.
