Victorian Mahogany Butlers Tray Coffee Table
A Victorian drop side mahogany butler's tray on low stand, ideal as a coffee table c.1870. The mahogany drop sided tray with arched folding edges forming a gallery, each with a cut out forming a carrying handle. Framed and panelled construction to the centre section with recessed brass snap hinges, the sides dropping to form an oval surface. Sat on a later but well matched low frame allowing the tray to be used as a stylish coffee table; the legs with chamfered inner edge and fretwork decoration to the top corners. Superb quality and condition, presented in excellent condition with a rich col...our and original patina. Measures 26" wide x 21.5" deep x 18" high or 35" x 30" oval with the sides dropped.
