Victorian Mahogany Apothecary Box
A superb Victorian mahogany cased apothecary box with original fitted interior and contents c.1880. Solid figured mahogany box with recessed brass campaign style handle to the top. The top opening to reveal mahogany fitted interior with original red velvet lining to the lid. Two lift out stacking trays with velvet lining to match the lid. Trays containing scales, weights, mortar and other instruments sat centre back of the case. Fifteen original glass bottles with matching stoppers sat in divisions around the interior, each with original labels and some with contents. Bears the origina...l retailers label for A.R. Robinson, Chemists, Birmingham. Presented in superb original unrestored condition, complete with original contents. Measures 12.5" wide x 6.5" deep x 6.5" high. Stock number 40361.
