Victorian Mahogany 8 Day Convex Dial Fusee Wall Clock
A mid Victorian mahogany cased 8 day single fusee English dial clock with convex dial and cast brass bezel, fully restored and working c.1880. Slim moulded mahogany surround to the dial with matchi...ng back box; access door to the base and to the side. Convex painted dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, bears the makers name William Dowding, Andover to the centre. Hinged glazed door sat over the dial with cast bezel and matching convex glass. The 8 day single fusee movement with anchor escapement and wire drive, fully serviced and working. Presented in superb condition with a rich polish and excellent original painted dial. Measures 15" diameter x 12" dial x 5.75" deep. Stock number 41481.
