Victorian London Silver Pounce Pot

An Antique Mid Victorian solid silver pounce pot. Hallmarked London 1882. Made by Robert Dicker. Threaded removable top to the urn shaped body. Original gilt interior. Presented in excellent condition. Pounce was a powder made from cuttlefish or a pumice. It was originally used to clean or smooth paper before writing on it. Measures 1.5" diameter x 3.25"high.
