Victorian Hull Fusee Dial Clock
A golden oak cased 8 day single fusee English dial clock by Kirk & Co of Hull c.1900. Moulded dial surround with matching back box sat behind, the font of the clock with hinged opening to access the movement. Polished brass bezel with glazed view window forming the door, original painted dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. 8 day single fusee movement sat behind with cylinder escapement, fully serviced and working. Bears the makers name to the dial Kirk & Co, Ltd, Hull, highly regarded watch and clock makers based in Whitefriar Gate who started trading in 1801. This example presente...d in superb condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 15" diameter overall with a 12" diameter dial x 5" deep. Stock number TBA.
