Victorian Gilt Brass Pocket Barometer
An immaculate late Victorian gilt brass case pocket barometer with silvered dial sat in the original presentation case c.1900. The gilt finished brass case with hanging loop to the top and engine turned edge to the adjustable bezel. Engraved silvered scale with feet above sea level marked to the outer edge and pointer to the inside of the bezel to mark readings or allow use as an altimeter. Sat in the original dark red presentation case with silver cartouche to the front, plus original silk and velvet lined interior. Presented in excellent condition, fully serviced and ...working. Barometer measures 1.75" diameter x 2.5" high including hanging loop x 0.75" deep excluding the case. Stock number 41297.
