Victorian French Marble & Ormolu Mantel Clock
A fine quality Victorian rouge marble and ormolu trimmed mantle clock with Paris made 8 day movement c.1885. The rouge veined marble case with architectural pediment to the top and stepped base. Decorated throughout with ormolu trim and pilasters; matching carrying handle to the top. Engraved silvered dial with with gilt filigree work centre, Roman numerals and blued steel hands; sat behind a hinged glazed door. Paris made 8 day movement with platform escapement in full working order.
