The polished solid mahogany case carved front to the pediment and matching carving to the door. Carved sound frets to the sides and moulded plinth foot with small feet below. Fine quality engraved silvered dial bearing the makers name, Clarke, Royal Exchange, London. Roman numerals and blued steel hands; subsidiary dial to the top for silencing the strike. The top quality 8 day double fusee movement with original chain drive and anchor escapement fully overhauled and working. Presented in superb original condition with a rich colour and original patina. Measures 9" wide x 6" deep x 12.5" high. Stock number 39184.
