Victorian Cut Crystal and Silver Plated Claret Jug
A fine quality late Victorian cut crystal claret jug with engraved silver plated top and handle in perfect condition c.1890. Heavy deep cut crystal base with hobnail decoration in perfect condition. Superior quality silver plated mount forming a pouring lip, hinged lid above with finial to the centre forming a handle. High set scrolled handle to the rear with leaf bud support set against the vessel; decorative engraving to the mount. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded Sheffield silversmiths John Vickers. Presented in excellent perfect condition with no chips or cracks and immaculate ...silverware. Measures 11.5" high x 5.5" maximum width. Stock number 39177.
