Victorian Cushion Framed Mirror
A stylish Victorian ebony and gilt brass cushion framed mirror with the original glass c.1870. The wavy moulded ebony frame formed in two sections with slim mirrors forming an outer band and decorated with embossed gilt mounts to the corners. The main mirror section sat slightly raised from the outer frame forming a cushion effect. Gilt brass band sat around the inner mirror glass with wavy design ebony trim to match the outer edge. Superb quality and condition with excellent original mirror glass and original gilt finish to the brass trim. Measures 22.5" wide x 26" high x 4"... maximum depth at centre of mirror x 1" deep at outer edge. Stock number 40392.
