The figured coromandel veneered exterior with rounded edges and inlaid brass cartouche to the lid; complementing inset campaign style handles to the sides. The hinged top opening and folding over to form a writing slope with original red leather to the surface. Pen tray with brass topped traveling ink wells set either side; both sides of the surface with storage compartments below. Secret drawers concealed behind a panel to the large storage compartment with unusual release, complete wi...th original hand written instructions and brass rod to push the concealed button.
