Victorian Coromandel Scent Box with Silver Top Bottles
A stylish high quality Victorian coromandel veneered scent box with brass trim and original cut crystal silver topped scent bottles to the fitted interior c.1875. The square coromandel veneered box with clipped corners and hinged lid, decorative embossed and engraved lock escutcheon and motif to the lid secured by dome head fixings. The lid opening to reveal an original fitted blue velvet lined interior, aged mirror glass to the inside of the lid. Four divisions to the base holding the original cut crystal scent bottles, each with matching solid silver screw top lid and collar, tested ...as silver but with no hallmarks. Presented in excellent original condition with perfect crystal and silver. Working lock and key. Measures 5.75" square x 5" high. Stock number 39159.
