An immaculate mid Victorian coromandel card box with superb original fitted interior and contents c.1875. Highly polished figured coromandel veneered exterior with complementing bone stringing to the surfaces giving a panelled effect. The hinged top opening to reveal an original fitted interior with four sections to hold the playing cards, fabric covered plates with ribbon pulls sat below each set to aid removal. Each set of cars with leather covered scoring marker, stained bone counters to the centre section. Bears the makers name Lunds (London) to the lock plate and original red fabr...ic lining to the interior of the lid. Presented in superb original complete condition. Measures 10.75" wide x 6.5" deep x 2.5" high. Stock number 40913.
