Victorian Coromandel Card Box
A top quality Victorian coromandel card box with original fitted interior c.1880. The coromandel veneered exterior with decorative brass fretted overlay to the top and matching escutcheon to the front. The hinged top opening and the front falling to reveal a an original mahogany fitted interior. Two compartments either side to hold playing cards and a further two to the top section, small cut outs to aid removal. Removeable centre section holding the original bone counters, section below for the dice. Red leather lined lid holding the original whist and bezique markers. Presented in immaculate... condition with a deep shine and original patina, playing cards included (later sets). Working lock and original key. Measures 8.5" long x 5.25" deep x 5" high.
