Victorian Carved Oak Banjo Barometer
A quality Victorian carved golden oak aneroid banjo barometer with decorative porcelain dial, fully serviced and working c.1890. The crisply carved golden figured oak case with stylised leaf design decoration to the top and complementing crest to the base. Porcelain dial with red decoration to the weather predictions sat around the outer edge, the dial sat behind bevelled edge glass with central reading marker, with the glass mounted in a polished brass bezel. Matching scale to the original mercury action thermometer. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, fully serv...iced and working. Measures 34" long x 10" maximum width x 3" maximum depth. Stock number 41388.
